Hi, I’m Tori.
I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, founder, therapist, and clinical supervisor at Devine Interventions Counseling and Wellness. I’m also a Certified Advanced Holistic Counselor and Coach and a trained Phase 1 Brainspotting Practitioner. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Advanced Standing Master’s degrees in Social Work from Salem State University and have spent more than 20 years working in helping professions.
Over the years, my work has taken me through outpatient therapy, inpatient psychiatric treatment, addictions counseling, anti-trafficking work, domestic violence services, organizational leadership, and clinical supervision. I’ve had the privilege of working with many different people in many different settings, and all of those experiences have shaped the therapist I am today.
My private practice now focuses primarily on women and young adults ages 18–25. While those may seem like two very different stages of life, I see a common thread in much of this work: learning to understand yourself more deeply, navigate change, trust yourself, and create a life that feels more like your own.
What therapy with me is like…
I believe we often already have strengths, resources, insight, and answers within us—even when we can’t recognize them, access them, or use them consistently.
My job isn’t to tell you who you should be or hand you a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, we’ll work together to understand what’s happening, notice patterns, put some of the pieces together, recognize what you already have to work with, and develop new tools along the way.
My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, holistic, integrative, and person-centered. Depending on what feels useful for you, our work might include CBT, Brainspotting, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, body-based awareness, expressive or experiential activities, and other complementary approaches that fit your needs, interests, values, and beliefs.
And while therapy can involve some pretty serious stuff, I don’t believe therapy has to feel serious every minute. There is room for humor, curiosity, creativity, celebrating wins, occasional swearing, and showing up as actual human beings.
Someone with lived experience…
I’m someone with lived experience who has navigated functional and social anxiety, functional depression, disordered eating, trauma, and a late-in-life ADHD diagnosis (I’m a splash of neurospicy 🧠🌶️). I’ve not only had the privilege of helping others; I’ve also experienced the gift of therapy myself.
I know firsthand how meaningful it can be to find a therapist who feels like a genuine fit—someone with whom you can feel safe enough to be yourself, explore the harder stuff, recognize your strengths, and work toward moving beyond simply surviving and toward thriving.
I believe in…
Celebrating both small and big wins.
Healing, while typically neither easy nor linear, is possible.
Self-care is a necessity, not a luxury.
Progress, not perfection.
Taking what we need and leaving the rest.
Accepting the things we cannot change, having courage to change the things we can, and working on developing the wisdom to know the difference.
I strive to create a space that is compassionate, inclusive, authentic, collaborative, anti-racist, anti-sexist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, body positive, HAES-aligned, kink-positive, sex-positive, and grounded in respect for your lived experience and individuality.
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
